Shoigu called the NATO transport with weapons that arrived in Ukraine a legitimate target

Western countries continue to pump weapons into Ukraine, Shoigu said. He warned that any convoys with military aid from NATO countries would become a “legitimate target” for the Russian military

Any NATO transport that arrives in Ukraine with weapons and ammunition for Ukrainian troops will be considered a legitimate target, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said in a conference call.

According to him, the United States and its NATO allies continue to ” ;pump Ukraine with weapons.”

“I note that any transport of the North Atlantic Alliance that arrived on the territory of the country with weapons or materiel for the needs of the Ukrainian armed forces is considered by us as a legitimate target for destruction”,— the minister warned.

At the request of Roskomnadzor, RBC provides data on the details of the military operation in Ukraine based on information from Russian official sources.

Since the beginning of the Russian special operation, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has repeatedly called on Western countries to supply heavy weapons to Kyiv. On April 23, he said that Ukraine was heard and she began to receive what she asked for. The president did not specify what kind of weapons and states he was talking about.

The Russian Foreign Ministry believes that by supplying Ukraine, the West contributes to the “continuation of bloodshed.” “This is both a business and a hell of a carousel, and, among other things, the main goal— destabilization of the region»,— said the representative of the department, Maria Zakharova. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, in exchange for weapons, Ukraine supplies the European Union with grain, which the country lacks both to feed the population and for sowing.
