SBU announced the exposure of “FSB agents” in the government of Ukraine

During a special operation in Kyiv, officials of the government and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry were detained, who were collecting secret information about the country's defense capability, its borders and security forces for the FSB, according to the SBU

The Security Service of Ukraine exposed the « agents of the FSB” who passed intelligence data to the Russian side, the department claims on Telegram.

According to the SBU, during a special operation in Kyiv, the head of a department of the government secretariat and the head of one of the directorates of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry were detained.< /p>

“These officials passed various intelligence information to the enemy: from the state of defense to the arrangement of the state border and personal data of Ukrainian law enforcement officers,” — The SBU said.

In return, they received a cash reward in the amount of $2,000 to $15,000, depending on the degree of secrecy and significance of the information.

The detainees are suspected of high treason (Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), they were arrested by the court.

At the end of March, the FSB announced the arrest of an “SBU agent” nicknamed Malysh, who spied on Ukrainian journalists and political scientists in Russia. According to the intelligence service, the detainee turned out to be a citizen of Ukraine and Poland Rudas A.V.

In 2019, Rudas came to Russia and “entered one of the leading Russian universities at the Faculty of Political Science” in order, according to the department, “to expand the possibilities of conducting intelligence”, the FSB reported. His surname and initials coincide with the name of a person who is mentioned in the list of applicants for the MGIMO master's program in 2019.

Rudas, according to the FSB, on the instructions of the SBU, collected information about Ukrainian political scientists and journalists in Russia— “opponents of the current Kyiv regime.” He was detained in Moscow when he was trying to get information about the military involved in the Russian military operation in Ukraine, they said.
