Peskov denied reports that Putin was holding an emergency meeting

The fact that Putin visited the Kremlin late in the evening on June 25 was written by the Politjoystick Telegram channel. Its author, Marat Bashirov, claimed that Putin was going to have a conversation over a secure line and make foreign policy decisions

Reports that President Vladimir Putin planned to hold emergency foreign policy meetings on the evening of June 25 are unreliable, his spokesman Dmitry Peskov told TASS.

Earlier, the Political Joystick Telegram channel, run by political strategist Marat Bashirov, reported that the presidential cortege arrived at the Kremlin from Vnukovo around 23:00 Moscow time to “talk over a secure line and make some decisions.”

Then Bashirov released another message with the words “Hinted. Yes, something happened. The political strategist also wrote that this is not an internal, but a foreign policy issue.

“No. It's not like that, — Peskov replied to the agency's request for comment.

Earlier, Peskov claimed that the Kremlin decided to postpone the “direct line” with the President because of “more important events”.

The day before, the head of state held talks with his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko in St. Petersburg. He promised to transfer Iskander-M missile systems to Minsk. within a few months and offered to retrofit Belarusian Su-25 aircraft in Russia. The Belarusian President asked Putin to help “mirror” respond to training flights by US and NATO aircraft that can carry nuclear warheads. Putin replied that this was not necessary. Also, at the talks between the two presidents, the supply of food and fertilizers to world markets was discussed.
